The Crux DSW is more than the lightest aluminum gravel bike ever made. We took everything we learned from building the carbon Crux and used our patented D'Aluisio Smartweld to realize it in aluminum. We have created the most capable, agile, balanced, and responsive aluminum gravel bike ever made for fast, fun, high-performance riding. And yes, it's also the lightest. Some may call it a carbon copy, but we call it the Crux DSW.
Lightest weight
At just 1399 grams*, the Crux DSW is the lightest aluminum gravel frame in the world. Combine that with our FACT 12r Crux carbon fork and a performance-oriented design, and a complete Crux DSW weighs only 9.37 kg - no other aluminum gravel bike can match that.
More clearance means more power—that's why the Crux DSW has the same tire clearance as its carbon sibling—47mm and up to 2.1” on a 650b wheel. Combine this with the strong and lightweight aluminum frame and the Crux DSW can take you anywhere you want to go.
Ultra-responsive
Responsive on the pedals. Smooth in the saddle. We used D'Aluisio Smartweld to fine-tune the properties of aluminum to deliver a ride that was previously impossible without carbon and to combine this with the same geometry and race-inspired fit as the carbon Crux. A longer reach provides better weight distribution for fast, confident handling, while a lower stack ensures a performance-oriented first position. With a bottom-bracket drop of 72 mm, we've found the sweet spot between agile and stable.
D'Aluisio Smartweld
D'Aluisio Smartweld— or DSW — is a patented engineering process that uses hydroforming to precisely match tube-to-tube connections for better, stronger welds and ultimately a lighter frame that can be twice as durable as a traditional alloy frame. Our Smartweld technique helps us create a unique one-piece downtube and bottom bracket for the Crux, saving weight and increasing responsiveness.
