More clearance means more power—that's why the Crux DSW has the same tire clearance as its carbon sibling—47mm and up to 2.1” on a 650b wheel. Combine this with the strong and lightweight aluminum frame and the Crux DSW can take you anywhere you want to go.
Ultra-responsive
Responsive on the pedals. Smooth in the saddle. We used D'Aluisio Smartweld to fine-tune the properties of aluminum to deliver a ride that was previously impossible without carbon and to combine this with the same geometry and race-inspired fit as the carbon Crux. A longer reach provides better weight distribution for fast, confident handling, while a lower stack ensures a performance-oriented first position. With a bottom-bracket drop of 72 mm, we've found the sweet spot between agile and stable.
D'Aluisio Smartweld
D'Aluisio Smartweld— or DSW — is a patented engineering process that uses hydroforming to precisely match tube-to-tube connections for better, stronger welds and ultimately a lighter frame that can be twice as durable as a traditional alloy frame. Our Smartweld technique helps us create a unique one-piece downtube and bottom bracket for the Crux, saving weight and increasing responsiveness.
We made the Crux, the lightest gravel bike in the world, even lighter. This bike combines wide tire clearance with performance-oriented gravel geometry. Thanks to a UDH derailleur hanger and the all-new SRAM RED XPLR group, the S-Works Crux became 102 grams lighter. Equipped with Roval Terra CLX II wheels, a Terra handlebar, Alpinist seatpost, S-Works Power saddle with Mirror technology, and Pathfinder Pro tires, the new S-Works Crux with SRAM RED XPLR is also very high-end. Lightweight: S-Works 12r frame of 725 grams. We used the technologies that made the Aethos so light for the Crux. The result? A gravel bike that climbs magnificently, floats over the toughest terrain, and weighs less than a full bottle in your bottle cage. Versatile: clearance for 47c/650b x 2.1 inch tires for even more options. With the same clearance for wider tires as the Diverge, the Crux will take you wherever you want to go, at full speed. Responsive: agile, reactive, and comfortable. Featuring performance-oriented gravel geometry and a sporty riding position inspired by the iconic performances of the Crux in cyclocross. The Crux is now equipped with a UDH (universal derailleur hanger) and the new SRAM RED XPLR group, with a 13-speed cassette ranging from 10 to 46 teeth, power meter, ergonomic brake levers, and calipers requiring up to 80% less force.
The Crux is the lightest gravel bike in the world, with an exceptional tire width possibility and a geometry perfectly suited for gravel riding. This bike delivers ultimate performance on any terrain. The Crux Pro is equipped with the new and ultra-light SRAM Force XPLR AXS group set for effortless braking, a lighter weight and a 13-speed range, lightweight and robust Roval Terra CL Disc wheels, and 2Bliss Ready 700 x 40 mm Pathfinder Pro tires that provide grip on rough terrain. Lightweight: S-Works 12r frame of 725 grams. We have used the technologies that made the Aethos so light for the Crux as well. The result? A gravel bike that climbs well, floats over the roughest terrain, and weighs less than a full water bottle in your bottle cage. Versatile: room for 47c/650b x 2.1 inch tires for even more options. With the same space for wider tires as the Diverge, the Crux takes you wherever you want to go at full speed. Responsive: agile, responsive, and comfortable. With a performance-oriented gravel geometry and an athletic seating position inspired by the iconic performance of the Crux in cyclocross.
The Crux DSW is more than the lightest aluminum gravel bike ever made. We took everything we learned from making the carbon Crux and used our patented D'Aluisio Smartweld to realize it in aluminum. We created the most capable, agile, balanced, and responsive aluminum gravel bike ever made for fast, fun, high-performance riding. And yes, it's also the lightest. Some might call it a carbon copy, but we call it the Crux DSW. Lightest weight Weighing only 1399 grams*, the Crux DSW is the lightest aluminum gravel frame in the world. Combine that with our Fact12r Crux carbon fork and a performance-oriented design, and a complete Crux DSW weighs just 9.37 kg - no other aluminum gravel bike can compare.
The Crux is the lightest gravel bike in the world, with the exceptional capabilities of huge tire clearance and performance gravel geometry. It's not just the ultimate expression of gravel performance, it's your one-way ticket to gravel enlightenment. Lightest: 725 g S-Works 12r and 825 g 10r frames. We applied the revolutionary breakthroughs that made the Aethos the lightest bike ever to the Crux. The result? A gravel bike that climbs like a dream, floats over nightmare terrain, and weighs less than a full bottle in your bottle cage. Compatible with: 47c/650b x 2.1" tires. More clearance means more capability. With tire width options at the Diverge level, the Crux takes you wherever you can imagine. Responsive: Agile, smooth, and reactive. Responsive on the pedals.
