Nothing is faster than the Tarmac SL8 thanks to a combination of aerodynamics, lightness, and ride comfort that was previously deemed impossible. After eight generations and more than two decades of development, it is more than the fastest Tarmac ever - it is the world's fastest racing bike. Ready to race?

Aerodynamics or lightweight alone is not enough to win races - speed is what counts. To achieve that speed, a no-compromise combination of aerodynamics, lightness, stiffness, and flexibility is necessary. Through race simulations with real data, our Ride Science team knows that the Tarmac SL8 is the fastest racing bike ever on the routes that matter - 16.6 seconds faster over 40 km, 128 seconds faster over Milan-San Remo, 20 seconds faster over the legendary Tourmalet climb.

AERO IN EVERYTHING: We apply aerodynamics where it matters - up front - not just where it looks good. In this process, we've created our most aerodynamic racing bike ever. Yes, it is more aerodynamic than the Venge.

Clean air is optimized for maximum benefit with the new nose cone of the Tarmac - the Speed Sniffer. By moving the steering tube backward - the tube that determines the width of the head tube - the leading edge of the head tube can be much sharper, resulting in much lower air resistance. Under the new UCI rules, the Tarmac SL8 has the narrowest and most aerodynamic seat post we have ever made, allowing fast-flowing, dirty air around the legs to flow back cleaner. Doesn't victory smell sweet?

MINIMAL WEIGHT, MAXIMUM AERO: The Tarmac SL8 has adopted the knowledge of Aethos and is simple to build according to the UCI minimum with a full aerodynamic set-up. The team delivered a stunning, lightweight frame of 685 grams - 15% lighter than the Tarmac SL7 and lighter than any other frames in the World Tour*. By prioritizing lightweight in the down tube, seat tube, and rear of the bike, the lessons of Aethos were applied. The frame shape carries the load so efficiently that extra layers of carbon stiffness are unnecessary. *Unless you count the time Kasper Asgreen raced with our 585-gram Aethos frame during a stage in the Tour.

GOES LIKE HELL, RIDES LIKE HEAVEN: With a massive increase in stiffness-to-weight ratio - a 33% improvement over the SL7 - the Tarmac SL8 elevates legendary handling, aggressive responsiveness, and world-championship-proven geometry to a new level. The bike is stiffer at the pedals, more precise at the handlebars, and combines this with a smooth ride in the saddle that sets a new standard for racing bike comfort. Thanks to our Rider-First Engineering, every rider, regardless of size, receives the same unparalleled ride quality and handling. In the saddle, the Tarmac SL8 offers 6% more flexibility, allowing it to glide smoothly over rough roads with a ride feeling that is unique in the demanding world of racing bikes. The proven geometry and 32 mm tire clearance of the Tarmac are identical to those of the SL7, ensuring easy adaptation and the versatility to use wider tires if needed.

Nothing is faster than the Tarmac SL8. We have designed the ultimate combination of lightness, aerodynamics, and riding comfort. After eight generations and more than twenty years of development, we now present the new Tarmac SL8 - the world's fastest racing bike. Are your legs ready? With good aerodynamics and low weight, you don't win races - speed is the only thing that matters. That's why we set out to create a no-compromise combination of aerodynamics, minimal weight, stiffness, and compliance. Our Ride Science team conducted simulations - based on data from real races - and discovered that the Tarmac SL8 is the fastest racing bike ever for the races that really matter. Imagine: 16.6 seconds faster over 40 km, 128 seconds faster during Milan-San Remo, 20 seconds faster to the top of the legendary Tourmalet. It was already the world's fastest racing bike, but it's now even faster thanks to the great aerodynamic performance of the brand-new Roval Rapide CL III wheels.
